Summer Program Registration - All Camps on Wait List Status

altSummer Science Campers (ages 5 - 10) will conduct sweet scientific experiments with candy, go on adventures to discover the animals of North America, have close encounters with reptiles, and participate in a boot camp designed specifically for budding junior biologists!  To learn more about our Summer Science Camps for 5 to 10 year olds, click the image to enlarge our camp flyer, or to register today, click here.

All camps are currently on a wait list status. Plans do change as the summer wears on.  Call us (713-667-6550) or register online if you'd like to have your child placed on a waiting list for camp.

altPreschoolers (ages 3.5 - 5) and their caregivers will Sneak-a-Peek at a variety of science and nature topics in weekly sessions that will excite them about the natural world, give them hands-on exposure to specimens and live animals, allow them to experiment, and more! City of Bellaire Bond Referendum

We are thrilled to report that on November 5, City of Bellaire residents passed a bond referendum for $500,000 to be used for improvements to the Henshaw House and Russ Pitman Park, operated by the Nature Discovery Center. Please be on the lookout for more information about these planned improvements in the months ahead. We can't wait to get started!

These Daisy Scouts recently visited the Center for a tour of Russ Pitman Park and a trip up to the Discovery Rooms. Here they are looking for life under logs with Ms. Anne.

altWe've been awarded the Macaroni Kid Gold Daisy Award for being voted the Best Kept Secret in SW Houston/Fort Bend! The cat is out of the bag!  Feel free to share our "secret" and spread the word about the programs and special events we offer at the Nature Discovery Center.  It is time that the Greater Houston community finds out what a treasure they have in the Center and Russ Pitman Park!
