Pumpkin Patch 2015

Sat. and Sun., October 17 and 18 / 11am to 4pm, Rain or shine!

Winner of the 2014 Macaroni Kid Gold Daisy Award for
"Best Fall Festival in SW Houston/Fort Bend County"

Come visit our 22nd Annual Pumpkin Patch at the Nature Discovery Center. You and your family can:

- pick out the perfect pumpkin for your front porch
- take a wagon ride around the block
- peruse the vendors selling jewelry, candles, and more
- ride the Tubs-of-Fun ride
- have your face painted
- enjoy kid's games and moonbounces in a carnival atmosphere
- or climb the rock wall...if you dare!

This annual festival is a great, safe place for family fun, food, and games - and the pumpkins always provide great photo opportunities. Pumpkin Patch provides fun for the whole family and supports the programs of the Nature Discovery Center. A win-win!

Pumpkin Patch this year will have a slightly different look. Due to the construction surrounding the Center, Pumpkin Patch will be held primarily at the south end of the park. Pumpkins and ticket sales will be in the Russ Pitman playground area.

We're excited to have the following food trucks joining us this year:

Tickets and Prices

Admission is free.

Individual tickets are $0.50. About 18 different festival games are just 1 ticket each.  Crafts, activities, and larger attractions can be 4 or 6 tickets each.

Pumpkin Passes are $20 and can be shared by the whole family to cover games, activities, crafts, some food/drinks, and pumpkins. You get $21 worth of tickets and don't have to carry around a wad of tickets.

Food prices range from 2 tickets for popcorn, soda and water, to 4 tickets/slice for pizza, to 7 tickets per Chick-fil-A Sandwich (available only on Saturday).  Sno balls sold by an outside vendor generally cost 6 - 9 tickets. Food truck pricing varies.  See signage at the different trucks for details.

Pumpkin prices vary from year to year depending on the sizes they deliver and the prices they charge us. Final pricing won't be known until Friday evening, October 16th.  Generally they are about $3 - $8, but sometimes we have smaller pumpkins and gourds as well.

Event Parking

Parallel parking is available in the green strip that runs along Newcastle in front of the park. Parking is also available on side streets across Newcastle to the east (Lula, Betty, Jim West, Wendell, etc.), and down Evergreen to the south and down Oleander to the north.  The Nature Discovery Center/Russ Pitman Park north and south end parking lots will be closed during this event.

NEW THIS YEAR: There will be FREE event parking at Bellaire UMC (corner of Newcastle and Bellaire Blvd). A FREE shuttle service is being offered by Bellaire UMC. Donations for the church are welcome, but not required.
