Pumpkin Patch 2011

Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16, 2011
11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Note:  Though this event is usually the 2nd weekend in October every year, in 2011 we will be moving our Pumpkin Patch to the third weekend so that our event will not conflict with Yom Kippur.

Two days of fall festival fun!

RAIN OR SHINE

Come visit our 18th Annual Pumpkin Patch at the Nature Discovery Center. You and your family can come pick out the perfect pumpkin for your front porch, enjoy kid's games and moonbounces in a carnival atmosphere, and more!  Older kids can test their climbing skills on a rock climbing wall attraction. This annual festival is a great, safe place for family fun, food, and games - and the pumpkins on the lawn provide great photo opportunities.

While you're here you can paint a tombstone, have your face painted, or cross the devil's rope bridge...if you dare! If you're looking for some old time fun, take a wagon ride around the block. There will be vendors selling crafts and jewelry, and of course you can always shop our Scholastic Bookfair.

Note: The Bellaire Garden Club's Annual Fall Plant Sale has been canceled due to drought this year.

Pumpkin Patch Volunteer Opportunities for Teens and Adults

Help children and families participate in activities on October 15 & 16 for our annual Pumpkin Patch festival.

Volunteer Shifts:  3-hour shifts of 10:30 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. OR 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. each day (Saturday and Sunday).

Volunteers Needed:  Approximately 40 people per shift.  Volunteers range in age from 12 to 80.

Volunteer Positions:  Volunteers lead games, organize craft stations, help children win prizes, take tickets, sell pumpkins, and other duties. Early shift helps set up and late shift helps clean up.

If you would like more information about this event or about event sponsorship, or if you would like to find out how you can participate as a vendor or volunteer, call 713.667.6550 and ask for Anne.
